王炳龙

     Painter Wang, Bing-Long 

Wang Bing-long was born in Jinan, Shandong Province in 1940. In 1966 he graduated from the traditional Chinese painting department of the Central Art College. He was a disciple proficient in painting of Li Ku-chan , the great master of art in China. Since 1984, at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs he has made paintings for Chinese embassies and consulates in the United States, Japan, Spain, and other counties. He visited Japan, the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea for cultural exchanges mission. His work "Morning Dew" was collected by the municipal government of Wakayama, Japan. Another work "Lilies" was collected by the Art Museum of New South Wales, Austeralia. In 1993, at the invitation of the Japanese-Chinese Cultural Exchange Institute he participated a art show in Japan, and his work "Flower and Bird" won a gold medal prize. In 1995, the China Central TV introduced his works and art accomplishments. He published "Selected Paintings of Wang Binglong" and "Basic Skill of Flower-and-Bird of Freehand brushwork". Wang Binglong is now a national 1st grade painter, a senior painter of the Shandong academy of Art, a director of the Shandong Artists' Association, the vice chairman of Jinan Artists' Association, a director of the Art Committee of the Jinan Academy of Art.His profile has been included in the Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Painters and the Dictionary of Modern Traditional Chinese Painters.
