张洪祥

      Painter Zhang, Hong-Xiang 

    Zhang Hong-Xiang was born in Weifang, Shandong in 1941. He graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Art, majoring in oil painting in 1962. He had worked in Exhibition hall of Zhejiang, Shandong Art Museum, and now he is a professor, and deputy director at Shandong Academy of Art. He is a member of Chinese Artists' Association, a director of Chinese Oil painting Association, vice-chairman of Shandong oil painting Association. Prof. Zhang' oil painting is rigorous and plain, lively and moving. He has taken part in various exhibitions at home and abroad and won many prizes. His works include: "Victory", "Female Teacher", "Denounce A Local Tyrant", "In Front of A Village", "Walk Along The Street", With A Heavy Heart", "Cicadas Chirping", "Descendants Of The Great Canal", "Enjoy Te Sunshine", "Country Girl", etc.. His works have won a silver prize in the 5th National Exhibition of Paintings, a bronze prize in the 6th National Exhibition of Paintings, an excellent prize in the 94' Exquisite works Exhibition of Chinese Traditional Painting and Chinese Oil Painting, and so on. Prof. Zhang has taught painting for years and cultivated several young oil painters sucessfully.
