张玉林

         Sculptor Zhang, Yu-Lin 

    Zhang Yu-lin was born in 1936. He enrolled in the Sculpture Dept. of Central Academy of Fine Art. After graduation, he taught in college and cultivated many young talents. He has taken part in several times national exhibitions of art and won prizes. He joined the creation group of "Jiao Yu-lu" clay figure organized by the Ministry of Culture, and Sculpture group for the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao Zedong. He joined the project of large-scale sculpture of Chairman Mao Zedong in Shandong Teachers' University and Shandong Industrial Exhibition; he designed the Shandong Memorial Tower for Revolution and the relief in Jie-fang Pavilion of Jinan city; he designed city symbol for Jinan, Xuzhou and Taizhou. His works of art include: memorial sculpture of Wang Jing-mei & Deng En-min, square sculpture named "Rainbow above a ancient city", garden sculpture named "Pincock girl", cameo named "Wisdom", "Coconut juice", "Explore in the sea", etc. They are high appreciated. He was confered the name of top talent of his profession by Jinan city. He is now a member of Chinese scuptors' Association, a director of Shandong Artists' Association, the vice-chairman of Jinan Artists' Assocition. His profile has been included in the Biographies of Chinese Writors and Artists, Who's Who in the Contemporary Chinese Cultural and Art circle.
