Brief Introduction

China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation(Group)[CNHTC], headquarters in Jinan , Shandong province andwith 34 wholly- owned subsidiaries and 6 majority-ownedsubsidiaries, is the largest manufacturer of heavy dutytrucks and components in China. As of fiscal year 1996, the group has a total original fixed assets of up to 6.46 billion RMB. In 1996 the group had a turnover amounted to 9.17 billion RMB, produced 15,177 units of heavy duty trucks and other vehicles,68, 423 units of diesel engines, and 1.08 billion RMB worth of other truck components. The main products of our group are: heavy duty trucks,special trucks, diesel engines, transmissions,braking systems and suspension systems etc.We have been introducing advanced technologies for manufacturing vehicles and components from world class companies since the beginning, and the technologies introduced include:Steyr 91 series Truck from Steyr Truck Company of Austria, transmission and power steering system from ZF of Germany, diesel engines from Cummins of the USA, Fuller transmission from Eaton of the USA, braking valves from WABCO of Germany, rear driving axle from Rockwell International of the USA, and bus chassis from 
MAN of Germany.

A Joint Venture company with Cummins of the USA went intooperation in October 1995.The second joint Venture company,a Joint Venture with Rockwell International of the USA went into operation in January 1997. Currently intensive discussion is well under way with potential foreign partnersfor establishing Joint Venture companies in the fields of heavy truck, diesel engine, transmission and braking system.

With high quality, reasonable price and excellent after-salesservice, our products have demonstrated as being very competitive in the world. We have not only sold a number of products into South-east Asia and Africa, but also cooperatedwith foreign companies for establishing overseas assembling plant.
